The Civil/Transport Unit of the Barrow County Sheriff’s Office is able to provide criminal history background checks for citizens requesting them. Some things to remember about criminal history background checks:
- All persons requesting a criminal history background check of themselves will be required to sign a consent form, authorizing the Barrow County Sheriff’s Office to obtain the information.
- You will be required to show your driver’s license (or other picture ID) at the time of requesting the criminal history background check.
- You may not obtain criminal history information about any person other than yourself without a signed consent form.
- All criminal history background checks cost $15.00 (cash or credit card only).
